Without proper oral health care, children have a high risk of decay and oral disease, which can cause a lifetime of complications and pain. Today, dental decay in children is five times more common than asthma and seven times more common than hay fever.
Our pediatric dentists are dedicated to improving the oral health of children from the first tooth through the teen years. They care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth through the various stages of childhood. Children begin getting their baby teeth during the first 6 months of age. By the age of 6, they begin losing their first set of teeth, which will eventually be replaced by an adult set.
Learning good dental habits starts with the very first tooth. Teeth need to last a lifetime, so be an example and teach your children the importance of oral health.
