Gary Allen, DMD, MS

Advantage Dental Group, P.C.; Gary W. Allen, DMD, P.C.

Gary Allen, DMD, MS, received his DMD from University of Oregon Dental School and a Masters in Oral Biology from George Washington University. He is board certified in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Allen held a variety of clinical, academic, research, advisory and command positions during a 26-year career with the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel and Commander of the North Atlantic Regional Dental Command, Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Since returning to Oregon in 1999, he has participated as a member of several state and local committees, workgroups and commissions focusing on oral health care access, integration and quality.

Dr. Allen is the P.C. owner for Advantage Dental+ in Oregon and Washington.

James Thommes, DDS

DentaQuest Oral Health Center of Massachusetts, P.C.; Advantage Dental Oral Health and Vision Center of Alabama, P.C.

Dr. James Thommes has focused on improving the oral health of all for over 35 years, 30 of those years in private practice as both a practice owner and provider of patient treatment and management. Thommes received his DDS from Loyola University and has been licensed to practice in Massachusetts since 2005. He is a prominent lecturer and educator on issues relating to dental benefits, health plan/provider relations and oral health. He is a member of the American Dental Association and is a Certified Dental Consultant with the American Dental Association of Dental Consultants.

Dr. Thommes is the P.C. owner for Advantage Dental+ in Massachusetts and a P.C. owner for Advantage Dental+ in Alabama.

Cory White, DMD

Advantage Dental Oral Health and Vision Center of Alabama, P.C.

Cory White, DMD, graduated from Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2010. After graduation, Dr. White completed 1 year of General Practice Residency at UAB Hospital Dentistry. She served as the Dental Director for Sarrell Dental & Eye practices from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, she provides care to patients as the lead dentist of the Dothan, Ala., Advantage Dental+ practice location. Dr. White is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Alabama Dental Association, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and an affiliate member of the America Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has a passion for increasing access to care for children in underserved, rural communities.

John Clasen, OD

Advantage Dental Oral Health and Vision Center of Alabama, P.C.

John Clasen, OD graduated in 1996, Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry with a Doctorate of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Clasen returned to the University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Optometry to complete a residency in Family Practice Optometry. Prior to joining the Advantage Dental+ team, he worked with a renowned ophthalmology practice in the Birmingham, Alabama area. He has served as the Optometry Director for Advantage Dental+ (formerly Sarrell Dental and Eye) from 2011 to the present.

Neil Williams, DMD

Advantage Dental Oral Health Center of Florida, PA

Neil Williams, DMD, received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Williams completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is a Certified Dental Consultant with the American Association of Dental Consultants. He participates on several clinical committees and workgroups focused on Quality Measures and Education.
